I have a few simple questions. How can one auto body shop (i.e. Andy's) charge 19.6 hours for labor on a simple repair and another auto body shop charge 6.1 hours of labor for the same simple repair? Also, does it make sense to anyone to be told by an auto body shop (i.e. Andy's) that the rear bumper will need to be removed to fix a scratch and small dent on the rear door? Do you really think I, or anyone else in their right mind for that matter, would believe that? Also, how can one auto body shop (i.e. Andy's once again), even think that an estimate of $1,126 is even reasonable when another, more honest shop, would estimate the EXACT repair at $450? In other words, what I am saying, is that Andy's appears to be the most dishonest, ridiculously priced, inaccurate body shop around. I would not set foot in the door again. And I would recommend everyone else reconsider before they have an estimate completed with them.
I know you have already had your repair but i would have been happy to review both estimates side by side and show you the difference. At Andy's Auto Body we warranty our work for as long as you own your car so there may be times when we choose to remove panel to make sure our paint gets behind that panel to help prevent the chance of clear coat peeling. There are many options when making body repairs. At Andy's we always quote insurance quality repairs it may cost more than some other shops but quality is not always the least expensive quote.
